In one of the decisive battles for the freedom of America, five thousand Spaniards of the royalist army and a similar number of patriots of different battalions fought on the battlefield.

And there they were: the battalion of Apure and the British; the Sacred Squadron and there were also the battalions of Rifles, Grenadiers and Victors.

The battlefield was twenty kilometers from Valencia, in Venezuela; It was a plain interrupted by some hills. The army that took those small heights first, should be the victor.

But at the head of all the revolutionary troops, was the Liberator Simón Bolívar, who brilliantly decided to attack by a narrow corridor, which caused surprise and disorder in the enemy forces.

The battle was painfully bloody, but the result was definitive. Thus ended one more feat for the freedom of America.

It was the battle of Carabobo, a day like today, June 24, 1821; to seal the independence of the sister, great and noble Venezuela.
