Save Time: Claim Your SCOT-Tokens On Autopilot

in palnet •  5 years ago  (edited)

Stop wasting time claiming all these new SCOT-tokens manually. You can automate the entire process in two easy steps.

Spreading The Word

Actually I assumed everyone would have heard about this new service by now. I only just found out I was wrong. Since the announcement post by @blockchainstudio is about to reach payout, and will disappear in the dark dungeons of Steem where all past-payout posts go, I thought I'd give it an extra push.

Instead of just resteeming, I'd rather make the post immortal and share the Steem-Forever link with you, so you can still reward it with an upvote, no matter how long ago it has been posted.

Read it here:

Scotauto: Scot token claim automation

Automate Token Claims

In the post you will find the information you need to save time and claim your tokens on autopilot.

Claiming tokens on Steem-Engine doesn't always work, and I'm pretty sure you have better ways to spend your time than to visit all the different platforms to claim your tokens one by one.

Thanks to ScotAuto, which was developed by @blockchainstudio, there is no need for that anymore.
The service claims your tokens for you every hour, provided that you have a set minimum of tokens that can be claimed. This minimum has been set to make sure you don't have to spend Resource Credits on a very small claim.

Steem Keychain

You do need to have Steem Keychain installed for it to work.
(Please don't turn away just yet. I know many of you are afraid to start using Steem Keychain, but there's no need for that.)

In case you don't know what Steem Keychain is:

Steem Keychain is a browser extension (a piece of software that adds additional functionality to your web browser) that allows you to securely store your Steem account keys, easily manage multiple accounts, and seamlessly interact with many of the apps built on the Steem platform.
Read more HERE

The extension - developed by @yabapmatt, @aggroed and @stoodkev - is available for Chrome, Firefox ánd Brave and provides you with a secure way to not only log into most steem-based sites, but also allows you to sign transactions without having to expose your private keys every time.

You will find all the benefits of using the Keychain extension in the post I linked to above.

Know I hesitated to start using Steem Keychain myself for months. I only installed it about two months ago, after doing a lot of research. I wish I had done so a lot sooner, because it has made my entire Steem experience a lot easier. If you're worried about security, I advise you to read the comments section of the Introduction post. One of the things that convinced me to install the extension was this conversation between @bubke and @yabapmatt:

Using ScotAuto

Once you have Steem Keychain set up, all you need to do to set up the automated claiming process is start the authorization process on ScotAuto by entering your username in the field and click the 'Authorize'-button.

Then, simply hop over to the introduction post HERE and leave a comment, telling the developers you've initiated the authorization process. They will then register your account. (For now, this process is still being done manually.)

Don't forget to show your appreciation by upvoting the post. (Only upvote the post using this link, which allows you to upvote a post after it has reached payout.)

Happy Automated Claiming!!

Why? I have Steem Keychain installed on my Android phone...
I don't know if it can be done on other systems, though

lol don't mind him he's just butt hurt because there isn't a native mobile app that can do everything these apps and sites can do in one go! He has a point and his using it to stick it to the man

You're the first person on this entire blockchain to have key chain on any mobile device? It's specifically requesting I put in on my desktop.. Dozens of people have told me mobile is coming just you wait, aggroed told me until mobile key chain is up steem engine can't create a mobile version. I'd love to hear how you cracked this nugget?

Both Kiwi Browser and Yandex browser allow you to install Chrome extensions on your Android phone

https://www.andropalac.com/google-chrome-extension-android/

https://www.maketecheasier.com/install-desktop-chrome-extensions-android/

I have never heard of either of those until now and wouldn't know how to get said browsers.. That's amazing that you know these things and not even the devs that make this stuff here do, or if they do they haven't told anyone about it.

Kiwi can't open anything on my phone, get the sad face reload page...

Kiwi isn't available in my country, so I don't have any experience using that one. Yandex, however, does the trick for me

I love seeing these tools and have been crying out for this since I started getting into scots. I realise these are all new territory and I can't wait for it all to be integrated into one tool I can use, I think our lives would be epic, all a matter of time I assume

I don't know about integration into one tool... , if you look at Steemit and all the various sites you need to visit to get stuff done... :0) It might take a while, lol

I must be late to the train as I never knew of this feature until this post. Thanks for sharing the info. I'm a stickler for sticking with what is familiar (I Still Post From Steemit) so I haven't moved to KeyChain yet.

#palnet #steemleo #spt #neoxian

SteemIt has recently integrated Steem Keychain. SteemIt Wallet, however, hasn't up until now :(

Thanks. I love automated time-hacks!

Namaste, JaiChai

Me too... Even without them I'm always short on time for everything ... So I welcome anything that saves me some time :0)

i absolutely love steem keychain! LOVE!

Same here :0)

Back with another top Steem find! I was getting a bit tired of claiming tokens one by one... This will make life much easier! Thanks!

Tell me about it. Such a time-saver

Lol looking at the comments your scotauto will come in handy with all those tokens that have just been sent 😁

I learnt a lot in this one. I'm always wary of downloading extensions as I've had security issues with them before and my trust is pretty low in them so still undecided about getting keychain.

But learning about the permalink upvote after post payout was something cool, didn't know that was such a thing! I'll check out that for sure!

Great info, thanks!

I must admit I'm a lot more weary about the new beta version of Steem Connect than about an extension like Steem Keychain. Steem Connect got me hacked last year. Well... it wasn't really Steem Connect, of course, but a lookalike phishing site. With Steem Keychain, at least I'm sure that I only give my details to a legit site.

Steem Forever is really undervalued. It should be used more often. It keeps posts from becoming 'worthless' after the 7 day payout period

Hmm OK I guess it's just a case of us being vigilant online. There's so many things to look at and try to get your head around, keychain is another one lol!

I did read the comments section at the bottom of that website link though and it seems they take a beneficiary of 50% (or maybe 35%) for using the service?

Posted using Partiko Android

They do take a high %. Probably the reason why it isn't used that much. Still, I ike to give some posts some extra rewards after they've reached the 7-day payout window, even if it is a small one

I guess with these tokens flying around though, the posts can probably get saved after 7 days with some phoenix token or something like that haha.

Now there's an idea😂

There's some good ideas up there somewhere 😂

Posted using Partiko Android

I do not think I have keychain tried it days ago and did not succeed. Might be because I am a mobile users?
For now I will safe it till my connection gets better. All you wrote about is new to me 😦

Not available for mobile, though I'm still waiting to hear how simply here thinks they use it on droid...???

Posted using Partiko Android

We are again no part of the fun. This tool would make our life easier

Posted using Partiko Android

I don't know about iphones or Windows phones, but on Android phones, both the Kiwi browser and the Yandex browser allow you to install Chrome extensions

I will try those once back from hospital again. You use keychain on your phone?
💕

Posted using Partiko Android

Yep, I do.
I don't have any experience with the Kiwi browser, since it is not available to download here in Belgium, But Yandex does the trick for me

Great information here. I didn't know about autopilot at all.
