It's gonna take a long time for this country to stop being embarrassed and a long time for anyone to ever trust government again.

I also slow down when I see a cop car, and... gasp register that car through the DMV.
So awful, I know.
But I also keep my car, avoid tickets, and was able to skydive somewhere within driving distance to my house during the pandemic, so seems worth it to me.
The other mask restriction I encountered during the pandemic I thought was particularly stupid was at the Dallas Arboretum. It was 100% outside, easily allowed for as much social distancing as individuals felt comfortable with, and regardless of what one thought about how effective masks might be in confined and crowded, poorly ventilated indoor areas, there was zero rational justification there.
