The sequel which stream line a lot of things from the previous game and made it better but what surprised me was the tank controls.
Similar to Resident Evil/Biohazard style, you move forward pressing Dpad Up, turn Left/Right using Dpad Left/Right and Dpad Down to move backwards. I like the move as u point your analog stick style better tho.
Now you can "sneak up" on enemy monsters now by pressing Square when there are nearby and not engaging you. There is no Active Time Battle bar as well so you can spam as much as you can manage. You shoot using R1 and for Parasite powers, you press Triangle. No more RPG turn base kinda style.
I like that Squaresoft tried to do things differently and copying aspect of gameplay from Resident Evil type games.
Do try this game and don't get turn off by the tank controls if you come from the first game. Get used to it and you will enjoy it.
Too bad they release "The 3rd Birthday" on the PSP which they didn't HD remake or port it to other platform in like forever now. Make a HD remaster trilogy please Square Enix?
