Parijat was a nepali writer . Her real name was Bishnu Kumari Waiba and Pet name was parijat . Parijat means night - flower fragrant Jasmine flower . Her most acclaimed publication is "Shiris Ko Phool" ( The Blue Mimosa ) which has also been adopted in the Litrature , Curriculum of some colleges in some english-speaking countries like United states , england etc .

Her first poem " Dharti " was published in 1959 . she published 3 poetry collection - Akansha , Parijat ka kabita , Baisalu Bartman . Her first short story was " Maile najanmako Choro " .
She is however , best known in Nepal as a Novelist .
altogether , she wrote ten Novels .
She also received the Sarwashrestha Pandulipi Puraskar , Gandaki Basunhara Puraskar , and Baridabrit .
Sirish Ko phool is one of the most important piece of work in the world of litrature .
She was awarded Madan Prize of 2022 B.S for this novel .
She began her literary carrer with " Dharti " while she was studying in Kathmandu . Besides being a brilliant writer of novel , stories , poem , articles etc . She also a led the " Ralfa movement " in 1966 .
She was elected as the member of the Tribhuwan University and was a part of Ralfa literature movement .
She also played an important role in establishment Pragatisheel Lekhak Sangh and wrote for Akhil Nepal Mahila Manch , Bandi sahayata Niyog and Manab Adhikar Sangathan .
She was remained unmarried and continued to suffer physical setbacks . while she was countributing to literature , she also tried to support social causes and initiated attempt like Prisoners ' Assistance Mission .
She died in 1933 .
