Funny enough...I just finished reading their resolution document here!

https://www.liberal.ca/policy-resolutions/97-basic-income-supplement-testing-dignified-approach-income-security-workingage-canadians/

The key is that they often don't follow through on what they say they are going to do, but it is a place to start.

Note the last line of the resolution:

"BE IT RESOLVED that the Liberal Party of Canada advocate for a federal pilot of a basic income supplement in at least one Canadian town or city, in cooperation with the appropriate provincial and municipal government(s)."

So let's not party yet, but it is a good sign, but more of a pilot.

Pilot projects need to be run to provide evidence of what will result.  Without that data, the fact that health costs go down, school attendance goes up, and more businesses are started is overlooked.

So true. I need to know which town or city the pilot will be in. I am all packed and ready to go :)

There is a provincial UBI pilot taking place of my home town of Thunder Bay in Ontario, Canada. Very cold winters (-40, windchill to -70 Fahrenheit at times), but beautiful scenery.

So cool! I used to live there. .... I guess I should stay there!

It was too cold for me...I'm now rotating between Colombia, Malaysia, and Georgia. I do still miss the lakes of Quetico Park, though.

Now we need to let them know about Manna ;-)

Cryptocurrecies like Manna are a real game changer for Universal Basic Income. I have been promoting Manna over the last few sys.

My main concern is how these crypto projects will be funded as they grow - it seems the Manna distribution amounts are decreasing much faster than the value of the coin appreciates, as more people sign up.
