parrot intelligence

Recent studies have found that many birds and animals can develop complex skills, including parrots that are able to make tools to get food, and they can also teach some of them how to do so.

Intelligent parrots during the experiments were able to break thin sticks from a piece of wood and pass them from under the cage, to get delicious food that they cannot reach on their own.

It appears that parrots learn to mimic and then go beyond imitation by developing skills, which is what all professors hope for from their good students," said Alex Kasselnik, a researcher from Oxford University.

Alex showed an experiment that parrots can teach each other the skill of breaking wood to get food, and the tested birds were all goffin parrots, native to Indonesia
