Game Features

In its core, Parsec Frontiers is a 4X strategy game. Here is how it utilizes the four aspects of the strategy genres:

· Explore — you can move freely throughout the entire galaxy. Navigate your spaceship to the desired location and discover new habitable planets for humanity. Keep in mind that other players are doing the same in this fully-3D world;

· Expand — once you find a celestial body you consider habitable, you can build structures and transport humans. You can choose how each community will develop by constructing specific buildings and researching various technologies;

· Exploit — find planets and surfaces rich in resources, harvest them and create factories and plants to craft various products;

· Exterminate — there will be a non-aggression pact until the combat feature is implemented into the game. Once that happens (December 2019), you will be able to take on other players in interplanetary wars and conquer new planets by implementing successful war tactics.

As you can see, the developers thought of everything that can provide players a unique experience of exploring a galaxy together. The crucial thing to keep in mind is that the game is running 24/7. That means things are happening even when you are logged off. If you sent a ship to a new location, it will continue traveling even if you are not online. The same goes for researching technology and extracting resources. Fortunately, there will be a notification feature that will inform you about new events via e-mail or SMS.

Token

As we mentioned, Parsec Frontiers is a game with the player-driven virtual economy. If you want to start playing, you will need to add some Parsec Credits to your game wallet. To do so, you need to purchase PARSEC token, which is the official currency of the project.

Team Members

Henning Rokling is the founder of the Parsec Frontiers project. His name might not mean a lot, but he is an entrepreneur that loves games. Rokling worked at Funcom before joining Innerloop Studios as CEO and co-founder. He is from Norway and he worked as a consultant for several large corporations in Scandinavia.

Trond Johansen is on the head of the production department. He worked on Battlestar Galactica Online and Block N Load as a game designer. Jack K. Wulff has the role of helping him ensure that everything is completed on time and that the budget is being used adequately. Wulff has over two decades of experience as a game developer.

Andrey Tsirulev is the technical director of the project. He is a genius when it comes to producing online games and can do a brilliant job in creating scalable and robust systems. He has a Magnetic Physics Master’s Degree from Tver State University, which is another indicator of how smart and capable he is.

The other two members of the team are Maxim Pushkar, who is in charge of blockchain development, and Morten Larssen who takes care of all things related to publishing, marketing, and sales.

Roadmap

Up until now, the developers were in line with the schedule they made once they came up with the concept of the game. The idea of creating Parsec Frontiers dates a while back, but the concept was created in June 2017. During the same year, the team that consists of professional staff and advisors was assembled and the whitepaper was created.

The pre-sale was successfully organized in January 2018. As promised, the developers delivered technical details and the game design in April 2018. At the end of that month, the crowd sale started and it will last until the end of May.

The next step involves the distribution of PRSC credits, as well as opening an auction for a starship. That will also happen during May 2018. Two months later, in July, the developers will release 17 planets that will initially be habitable and hold auctions for colony rights on them.

According to the expectations, travel module should be finished by the end of 2018. Once it is released, the players will be able to explore and transport humans. In 2019, the game will introduce resource extraction, trade exchanges, crafting, and combat. The full version of Parsec Frontiers with all in-game features should be available by the end of 2019.
