What does this saying mean to other people, because I think of Hitler. Because what the man did was not fake, and not many people would argue that the man had some flaws in his ability to love. So Hitlers love was not perfect but it was true.

I would say you need to think about what you want love to be.
For me, Hitler had no love but fear, he did not work to build but destroy, he did not speak to educate but to convince.
He had ambition, a love for power because of his fear of weakness (or vulnerability as they call it nowadays). That was true, and he did it perfectly

Many people would agree with you when you say: Hitler had no love but fear, he did not work to build but destroy, he did not speak to educate but to convince. (Myself included!)

But that is the problem with the teaching that revivalism is acceptable, although Hitler had a very messed up mindset...the man did follow the advice that you gave (although not from many peoples perspectives) However Hitler was entitled to an opinion and in his opinion I am sure that he felt that he was dealing with people based on love and not fear.

This conversation is proof that we cannot allow mankind to write his/her own rule book, and that is why we must live our lives according to the WORD of GOD.

Assuming there was a god, how could differentiate if some old book contains the word of god or if it is just another book written by humans?

I know that the common thought is that all of us are free to choose to decide if we will serve a god or not...but that is not true. An ant might say that it believes that there is no god or gods, but to the ant am I not like a demi god (I am not claiming divinity) I am just trying to point out that you are already serving a god or group of gods. Try this on, who is the biggest badest person that you know? Is it Frank, or Jim...maby your sophicated and say it is some govermental system, but did'nt you just tell me who you thought god (or gods) were? I would like to invite you to listen to the following song

I'm not sure what any of this has to do with the question I asked.

You asked
-how could (you) differentiate if some old book contains the word of god or if it is just another book written by humans?-

So I sent you a song that shows people that they already do 'serve somebody'

I was polietly saying to you that you have already made a decision, so what you should have asked is '-how do I know if the god that I am currently serving is the true god, or do you (me) think that you should start believing writtings that tell us an incredible story about GOD-"

To the question that you should have asked I would say that the Roman goverment thought that the GOD (of thoes writtings) was such a credible threat that they crusified GOD, and then they sealed the tomb and posted soliders at the tomb.

Yeah I serve somebody, but that isn't equivalent to saying that I'm serving a god(at least not the way I would define god).

And the roman didn't kill god. They killed jesus, some normal guy who managed to create a big audience. Big enough to pose a threat for the roman culture.
By that time the writings about jesus didn't exist.
The new testament was actually written over a century after his death, and most likely parts were adapted to fit the spiritual needs of the audience.

When God speaks I will listen.
So far there are many books written by people, claiming to be divine without proof that they were not lying
I have yet to see a book written by a perfect God in His words, not those of a subjective imperfected and limited human

I am just pointing out that the thoughts 'love does not need to be perfect it just needs to be true' sounds pretty good...but it has led to some pretty bad situations. The above saying may not point to a single god or group of gods, however it implies that each of us are smart enough to figure out how to show love...but Hitler was smart and according to him he was not filled with hate or fear

I would like to share with you a song

True, so does anything and everthing that's taken to extremes
Even a growth mindset can lead a glass to be filled beyond it's capacity

Who is going to be in charge of determining weather or not any matter is taken to extremes?

Each person should take responsibility for their thoughts, words & actions; and lack thereof
