Hi Stememians! Good day, I am back with an upbringing about my home! As most of you doesn't know, I am a proud Filipino living in Cebu specifically Mandaue City!

I lived my whole life here in Mandaue and this has been my home literally and figuratively! And I will tell you about more my home in this Steemit post!

Prelude for my post, Mandaue is famous for the Bibingka and tagaktak (local delicacies) and dubbed as the richest city in Cebu Province because of the business, commercials and manufacturing companies that are settled here.

You can also find Mandaue after passing by the bridge that connects Lapu-lapu City to the mainland Cebu.

History of Mandaue

On the left side was the city's logo before as it was inagurated as City in the year 1969. This year is the 50th year the city is celebrating the proclamation and I expect a great deal about it.

Anyway, back to the logo. On the right which has the famous landmarks that are found in the city are the Bantayan sa Hari which guarded the City from invasion in the Spanish times located in Barangay Looc, The Marcelo Fernan bridge metioned earlier that will take you to Mandaue from the airport and neighboring cities. There are also Starswhich are around the center circle representing the barangays that composed the city.

These were photographs taken before when the city is not yet that crowded and populated.

The photo above was our plaza that has a lot of space. The plaza has the church, city hall, school and a market are pretty close to each other now and before.

Present Mandaue

Our plaza now has been a lot of happenings which helps the citizens in both good and bad, i supposed.

This is our plaza! The famous Mandaue Presedencia which is designed as "M" if seen from abvove representing the City!

This is also our church, the National Shrine of Saint Joseph!

The famous Tagaktak! It is from a coconut and then fried that gives you a crunchy yet sweet taste.
