Why the BTC bullrun matters to Steem

As Bitcoin races towards its ATH the crypto world is getting attention and everyone wants to know and learn how to get involved.

Most projects have made very little progress in including mainstream in their young projects.

2 billion people use social media every day. Many of them have no understanding of crypto, just as I didn't when I first landed on Steem.

Years later I have a solid understanding of crypto and am still not an expert.

Steem allowed me to walk in the front door of a blockchain project, use my username and learn while I was doing things I already knew how to do. Blogging, simple games.. etc.

I bought my first bitcoin Nov 2016, and I learned how by asking on Steem.

There is a very strong business case for onboarding via blogging and continuing to serve the user base with games, merchandise, and education.

Are we going to miss another bull run opportunity?

I agree entirely... as the Bitcoin Bull runs, it will be more and more in the news. But BTC is also "complicated" and inaccessible to most non-financial and non-technical people.

But pretty much everyone knows how to "make a post" on social media... and this is by far the most user-friendly entry point into the cryptosphere, right down to usernames that actually make sense, rather than an endless series of random digits.

Actually reminds me a bit of when AOL entered the Internet market and took on CompuServe in the 1990s... in no time, there was ONLY AOL, except for the hardcore nerds who were "offended" that their moms would be online!

Saya setuju dengan pendapat anda
"Ada alasan bisnis yang sangat kuat untuk melakukan orientasi melalui blog dan terus melayani basis pengguna dengan permainan, barang dagangan, dan pendidikan."

Totally agree. The article that brought me here in 2016 was titled, Steemit is Bitcoin's Killer App.

Now, in addition to BTC, Steemit could conceivably be a "killer" onboarding app for TRX, BTCTRON, etc... We're even seeing hints of that direction with some of the weekly writing challenges from @steemitblog.

I think you're right that the overall bull market should be seen as an opportunity here, too, even though it hasn't really showed up in prices yet.
