Nvidia’s first GeForce RTX 4090 PC build video confirms rumours about its colossal size

in pcgamer •  2 years ago

Even though Nvidia officially unveiled the GeForce RTX 4090 today and even provided its physical dimensions, it's hard to inform how it'll slot in with the remainder of a PC, supported that alone. Previous leaks portraying the graphics card speculated that it might be even as colossal as its predecessor. Now, Nvidia has shown off a build video featuring the Ada Lovelace flagship in action.

Nvidia teamed up with professional PC builders LiquidHaus for the endeavour. One couldn't help but notice Nvidia using an EVGA motherboard for demonstration. it's supremely ironic, given the recent spat between the 2 companies. because the video goes on, actuality scale of the GeForce RTX 4090 becomes apparent. It takes three screws to secure the graphics card to the case. Asus took it to the following level by fitting one in all its RTX 4090 models to a mini-ITX motherboar in its substance.

Furthermore, one also loses access to 2 PCI-e slots, meaning that streamers will need to use some creative workarounds to throw a zealous capture card into their build. While the GeForce RTX 4090 FE in question here doesn't sag, it won't be the identical in many cases, forcing gamers to take a position during a GPU bracket. Another problem are getting the graphics card to suit in smaller PC cases. One will now need to upgrade their chassis and power supply to channel the complete power of the GeForce RTX 4090, which, at US$1,499 (almost US$2,000 in Europe), isn't cheap.
