Spiritual growth: You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast. Isaiah 26:3

The bible and in particular the book of Isaiah teaches us one of the most important spiritual secrets; peace of mind, inner peace comes from a stable mind: "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast because they trust in you.", Isaiah 26:3.
Inconstancy is one of the big problems when we talk about spiritual issues. Coaching books tell us about leaving the comfort zone, being creative, innovating, having values and dreams; but they do not explain to us how to solve the problem of a fickle mind that moves following the desires and whims of the moment. The inconstancy makes any real change in the man and the person impossible.

It is for this reason that the Bible tells us about the fear of God, this gift is defined as constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity, stability. This spiritual gift is the gift that makes conversion possible, faith cannot grow in a heart that does not fear God: "I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts from every nation the one who fears him and does what is right.", Acts 10:34-25. The word of God needs firmness to bear fruit as explained in the parable of the sower: "But the seed on good soil stands for those with a noble and good heart, who hear the word, retain it, and with constancy produce a crop." Luke 8:4-15.
Peace is not a virtue or a value, it is a perfection ("Be perfect as your heavenly Father is perfect", Matthew 5:48), it is a fruit of the spirit: ”But the fruit of the spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law"; Galatians 5:21-23.
The unity of the mind with itself is a basic condition of peace; what peace can have a mind that fights against itself divided on the one hand by the desires of reason and on the other hand the desires of passion.
The Trust in the Lord, the adult faith, is nourished by the fear of God and inner peace, the book of Isaiah finally explains.
