Truth, Justice, and The American Way

My fellow Americans I bring the best of news the dawning of a new chapter in our lives is finally coming to pass the new age of the revival of the American dream is coming to pass but just as a quick reminder and warning ⚠️ always remain vigilant from now on for the shadows that lie living in waiting to strike at the first sign of trouble for them doesn’t matter to me at all if you lean left or right or somewhere in between my dream for a change at a new age and dawn for a better future to unite ourselves in this peaceful civil intellectual revolution is finally coming true the spirit of the old American West is coming to pass but remember this liberty can be messy but it is priceless.

Another artifact? No. You will stay here. I have seen enough for one life. I have done my part I heard your name once before, a long time ago. And now it lingers in my mind like an image from an old dream. I do not know where you are, or by what means you can hear me. But I know you are listening. I have lived my life as best I could, not knowing its purpose, but drawn forward like a moth to a distant moon. And here, at last, I discover a strange truth. That I am only a conduit for a message that eludes my understanding. Who are we, who have been so blessed to share our stories like this? To speak across centuries? Maybe you will answer all the questions I have asked. Maybe you will be the one to make all this suffering worth something in the end.

When I was a young lad, I had liberty, but I did not see it. I had time, but I did not know it. And I had love, but I did not feel it. Many decades would pass before I understood the meaning of all three. And now, the twilight of my life, this understanding has passed into contentment. I applied my heart to know wisdom, and to know madness and folly. I perceived that this also was a chasing at the wind. The Creed of the American Brotherhood teaches us that nothing is forbidden to us. Once, I thought that meant we were free to do as we would. To pursue our ideals, no matter the cost. I understand now. Not a grant of permission. The Creed is a warning. Ideals too easily give way to dogma. Dogma becomes fanaticism. No higher power sits in judgement of us. No supreme being watches to punish us for our sins. In the end, only we ourselves can guard against our obsessions. Only we can decide whether the road we walk carries too high a toll. We believe ourselves redeemers, avengers, saviors. We make war on those who oppose us, and they in turn make war on us. We dream of leaving our stamp upon the world... even as we give our lives in a conflict that will be recorded in no history book. All that we do, all that we are, begins and ends with ourselves. The truth is, for all my struggles to make my mark in life, for all I've accomplished, in just a few short generations my name will be forgotten. Even the greatest of us can't compete with time... and death.
