“I’ll Scratch Your Back, If You Scratch Mine”

Humans are “Social Animals”,
Why then do we find it so hard to help each other?
Or what is worse, to accept help from each other?
We are so often hard headed about
Stupid things,
We let our pride stop us from helping or
From being helped.
We think it is a ‘sign of weakness’.
How crazy is that?
We are social animals,
We are here to be with each other
Through times of plenty, and especially
Times of stress, despair
And hardship.
That is when we are at our best, our strongest.

Let your goodness shine,
Help your friends and family, but
Even more importantly,
Help the strangers you cross paths
With as you go about your day.
Love knows no bounds,
So why try and limit it to those who love you?
Sure,
“I’ll scratch your back, if you scratch mine”,
But
Why not scratch the back of someone who
Can’t do a thing to repay you for it?
I can tell you,
There is no better feeling
Than that.

It is. My life right now is hell.

I can't even imagine though.

Here is what I just posted to FB about my day TODAY

Why can't things be simple again?
I changed my Medicare Dr, I didn't like going to the Westend office of Jencare (although I really liked Dr Agawal) so I changed to the NE Dekalb office (Dr Agawal was listed as being based at that location)
Dr Agawal is no longer there. I got Dr Falahat Farooqui, a Pakistani.
Very nice man, who tried all the usual things that Dr's do when they think they are dealing with someone who is medically illiterate.
Things have been rough for me for the last 7-10 days, sick much of the time etc...so my BP was something like 168/84 when the nurse took it before I saw the Dr.
He and I went over many things, and I have a follow up in several weeks.
I left, went across the street to a BBQ place (simply because I saw the smoke rising)... the ribs nor anything BBQ were not ready, so I got a meatloaf dinner and came home.
I got to within 100 yds of my apartment, and my phone rang.
It was the Dr ofc, he didn't like my BP, and asked that I TURN MY ASS AROUND AND DRIVE BACK, which I did.
All this time my food is sitting on the floor getting cold.
Went back in, I told him about my BP history, I TOLD HIM I can check it here at the house, I TOLD HIM that for years I was on meds for it, but it HAS NOT BEEN A PROBLEM for a long time, so with my VA Dr's knowledge, I stopped taking the last med.
He (the new Dr) was insistent, he said 'all it takes is one time for your BP to be high and you have a stroke' blah blah...
I looked up the last BP med that the VA gave me, he wrote me a script for that, and I came home and ate my NOW COLD MEATLOAF. (yes, I have a microwave)
I then scanned the new script, I went to VA Secure Messaging, I looked up the old prescription #, explained to the Pharmacy what had happened, and asked that either the original prescription be reinstated and mailed to me, or take the new one (which I attached) and fill it, and then send me the meds.
It may be 10 days before that arrives, but I GUARANTEE you my BP will be back to normal tomorrow.
Such fraidy cats.
Besides, with this hip, the pain, the delays in getting something done about the hip, I am just about ready to exit stage left from this life. :'(

Jesus... I'm praying for you my friend
