The Day of Infamy
December 7th was once memorialized by Roosevelt as the day of infamy, when the deliberate attack of Pearl Harbor drove Americans into the Second World War. That day, however, may have been easily ousted by another inauspicious day in America’s history. On that day, our democracy has been so violated by the blatant flout of the rule of law, by the blatant disregard of the political preferences of its people, by the blatant deprivation of its citizens of their single most important freedom of all, the right to be counted by their right to vote, has fallen from one of the most respected constitutional republic to a Banana one. No more can our republic be aspired to or modeled after by countries seeking democracy. Because on that day, November 4th, 2020, the ruling elite, whose pockets are stuffed with political, big tech and media cronies, demonstrated clearly the lengths to which they were prepared to go through to convert the land of the free into one enslaved by corruption and theft.
