This is a 2,600-year-old letter written on a piece of pottery by a soldier named Hananyahu. When archaeologists discovered the artifact in 1965, they initially thought it was blank. It took another 50 years before they realized that the ink was merely invisible. Using multispectral imaging technology, researchers were finally able to decipher the message:

'If there is any wine, send.'
