Santa Cruz 16-year-old publishes herb guide, assists homeless

As a child, Santa Cruz resident Levi Glatt already had an affinity for plants, his mother Rena Dubin said. The family went on an herb walk when Glatt was about 5 years old to learn about edible plants in Santa Cruz County. When they got home and Dubin began weeding their garden, she said her son told her to stop.
