Why did I do this to my Moruga Scorpion chili plant?
My recent passion about growing chili plants is getting stronger now. I watch youtube videos and read various forums about growing healthy plants. It's very important not only to water the plants, but also provide them with needed nutrients, or in other words "feed" them.
I was thinking also, that you just leave these plants to grow, but in order to force them grow new, healthier leaves (second and third generation leaves), you have to cut the plants and almost all their old leaves.
One of my plants was looking that way:
when I decided, that it was its time to have a "haircut".
I don't know what will happen, but I decided, that it was worth experimenting. Actually it's my first season of trying to grow chili peppers, so I'm sometimes very confused about what I should do with the plants. Hopefully in a couple of months I will have my first fruits.
In the meantime I grow Carolina Reaper too, but haven't cut its old leaves yet. Three of my plants now are being bigger than the others. And I already started feeding them about two weeks ago.
Actually one of my other plants germinated together with these "guys", but I tried to grow him only under natural light by the window, oppositely to the other "artificial light" ones. I bought special spectre plant growing LED bulbs, and the plants seem to like them a lot!
And here on the left is the unlucky plant, trying to make its best next to the window:
The four other plants are Pepperoncino peppers, which are originally from Italy, I think... They're a lot different, because they grow on clusters upwards! And still possess a lot of spicy power. They literally burn your mouth, of course not so hard as the Moruga Scorpions and Carolina Reapers.
These should be the Yellow Scorpions:
So... Keep an eye on my posts and updates about these plants. I'm now waiting another seeds to arrive and grow Chocolate 7-Pots.
