Very often we hear people say no one is perfect. Even if you find a group of people that believe they are perfect in their dealings with people and God, you certainly won't count me among them. For I believe the level at which we refer to something or someone as being perfect demands a state of impeccability at all times that as humans I think we can't guarantee.
However, a group of people believe that since we agree that no one is perfect in all his dealings with his neighbour and God, he is free to get carefree and treat people without caution and respect. You see, there is a problem there because the human mind is so fashioned to accept thoughts, process them then produce fruits or results in line with the thought.
There is another group that agrees that none is perfect but they consciously strive for perfection. The will in them to do good and go for that which is perfect translates to them having very little issues with people. They are the ones we call good guys, genuine believers and so on.
It is this last group that Christ expects the church to belong to. We shouldn't, all in the guise that no one is perfect go to church, lift up hands in worship, then use same hands to sign fraudulent papers, use same mouth we used in shouting halleluyah to gossip and speak evil or use same legs we used in dancing in church to run after ladies we just want to have sex with.
I believe everyone should strive for perfection.
