Pest Control - Hedgehog

Saw this beauty in the garden this morning.

Northern white breasted hedgehog - Erinaceus roumanicus.

I probably disturbed it while I was trimming as it crawled out of a stick pile we placed last year to attract hedgehogs.

Hedgehogs are an excellent form of pest control. A single hedgehog can eat up to 200 grams of insects each night including slugs.
