Couldn't believe what I was seeing... Paul Drake in COLOR... in the only episode of the original Perry Mason series that was shot in color, from February 1966.

Burr and Barbara Hale did some TV movies and carried on the Perry Mason story, but the original series - over 270 episodes - was all black and white except this one episode. William Hopper, son of legendary gossip columnist Hedda Hopper, would be dead of cancer (smoked himself to death, essentially) just a few years later, in 1970, so you never saw Paul Drake in a color Perry Mason... except this one.

And the villain in this episode was Victor Buono, who would become King Tut on the Batman series just two months later, in April 1966.

If you happen to see this episode, the little red headed kid might look familiar. It's becuase he is Kevin O'Neal, brother of Ryan O'Neal. Family resemblance.
