Personal growth: Wisdom is a fountain of life to the wise, but trying to educate stupid people is a waste of time. Proverbs 16:22

The Book of Proverbs constantly teaches the importance of living with the fear of God (constancy, firmness, devotion, equanimity) and the wisdom, because these are the spiritual gifts or perfect virtues proper of human sensibility. To speak of the fear of God is to speak of an edifying, assertive, progressive, benevolent, and empathetic heart; and also to talk about wisdom is to talk about the maturity or integrity of man.
And this spiritual truth in the practice is not something minor, because the opposite of these divine virtues are the hardness of heart and the foolishness.
Since the beginning of time, men have had the freedom to choose between these two paths; the human being is essentially a free being: "God in the beginning created human beings and made them subject to their own free choice" Ben Sira 15:14.
And these two paths, wisdom and foolishness, righteousness and sin, translate into a spiritual truth for personal growth: "Wisdom is a fountain of life to the wise, but trying to educate stupid people is a waste of time" Proverbs 16:22.
Life constantly puts man in front of difficulties and suffering, and it is up to the sensible man, the man endowed with wisdom, to solve the problems. Wisdom, common sense, and life, as the proverb teaches, go hand in hand.
On the other hand, those who despise the fear of God do not solve problems but rather create them. Education, in this type of people, is something problematic.
And we see this ethical teaching in the reality of world society, there are countries that advance, develop, and others that regress and dissolve; and the difference between countries that achieve economic progress and those that do not, is in the use of common sense in those societies. People and nations who despise the fear of God and wisdom are destined for ruin and failure, because in essence what they do is reject life.
