If you are under stress right now, please take a moment to pause for 1 minute, and do yourself a favor by releasing some of that stress with this 1-minute exercise. Let's do it:
Find a Comfy Spot: Search for a quiet and comfortable place where you can sit or lie down. It could be your favorite chair or a cozy corner in your room.
Close Your Eyes: Gently close your eyes. This will help you shut out distractions and focus on your breathing.
Take a Deep Breath In: Inhale slowly through your nose. Count in your head: "One, two, three, four." As you do this, imagine that you're filling your lungs with soothing, refreshing air.
Hold Your Breath: Now, hold your breath for a count of seven. Picture the calmness flowing through your body as you hold it. Count silently to yourself: "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven."
Exhale Slowly: Exhale slowly and completely through your mouth. If you can, make a gentle whooshing sound as you breathe out. Count in your head again: "One, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight." Feel the stress and tension leaving your body with each breath out.
Repeat Three More Times: You've completed one cycle. Do this for a total of four breath cycles. Inhale for four seconds, hold for seven, and exhale for eight. Feel yourself becoming more and more relaxed with each cycle.
Open Your Eyes: When you finish all four cycles, slowly open your eyes. Take a moment to notice how you're feeling. You should be more calm and centered.
