I have been wanting to make a post using the new #petals tag but haven't been able to find any new flowering plants locally.
Hopefully this bud, which a found growing in the hedge row at work today, just about qualifies.

I didn't know what it was but have just looked it up and I think it is "Berberis Darwinii".
The image in the post is what it looked like a few days ago and below is the same shrub as it looked a few months ago.
