I purchased a large Nylabone designed for powerful chewers a few days ago.
My beloved Rottweiler absolutely loves these things, probably more than his pappy :(
My puppy weighs in at 105 pounds and the warning on the back of the package in small print says that it's for dogs 50 pounds and under! It also advises that if your pet comsumes any of the bone to take it away and contact your vet!
I have been unable to find bones designed for dogs like mine or I would by them. But he can have shavings departed from this thing in a matter of minutes! I have heard people say that these and especially rawhides are bad for them, but do I need to be concerned when he consumes it at a very slow pace? When I say shavings, I mean it's a very miniscule amount. What are your thoughts, opinions or experiences?
He is the best dog I have ever had in my life and he has never attempted to chew anything so I would hate to deprive him of something he loves so much :(
