Cheap but Rich!

Have you ever tasted this kind of dish? This is a typical Filipino food and in our place we call this "Pinakbet". This recipe has 4 varieties of vegetables whice are eggplant, bitter melon, green beans, gumbo and it also have pork, shrimps, onions and tomato.

Eggplant (Talong)
Eggplant is rich in fiber, copper, vitamin B1, manganese, vitamin B6, vitamin B3, vitamin K, potassium, amd folat.

It helps protect heart health, helps improve blood flow to the brain, low in calories and it also has anti-cancer effects and powerful antioxidants!

Bitter Melon (Ampalaya)
Bitter Melon is rich in iron, calcium, potassium, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin C, magnesium, folic acid, zinc, phosphorous, and manganese.

It cleanse blood from toxins, has an alcohol intoxication properties, hypoglycemic compound, high in beta-carotene, strengthens body's immune system, helps in lowering blood pressure, helps prevent some types of cancers, antibacterial and many more benefits in just one vegetable!

Green Beans (Batong/Sitaw)
Green Beans are rich in vitamin E, vitamin B1, vitamin B2, vitamin B3, vitamin B6, vitamin C, calcium, potassium, magnesium, soduim, zinc, iron, copper, protein, carbohydrates, fiber, fat and calories.

It offers cadiovascular protection, helps lower high blood pressure, helps promote healthy colon, prevent DNA damage, strong anti-inflammatory effects, a good energy source and many more!

Gumbo (Okra)
Gumbo is rich in protein, folic acid, carbohydrates, vitamin C, magnesium, vitamin A, potassium, calcium, iron and dietary fibers!

It helps improve heart health, improves eye sight, helps lower cholesterol, helps stabilize blood sugar, and good for digestion.

Pork
Pork is rich in calories, carbohydrates, protein, sugar, fiber, fat, omega 3, omega 6, and many more!

Shrimps
Shrimp is rich in selenium, vitamin B12, protein, phosphorous, choline, copper, iodine, vitamin B3, zinc, vitamin E, vitamin B6, vitamin A and alot more!

Tomato
Tomato ia rich in calories, protein, carbohydrates, sugar, fiber, fat, omega 3 and omega 6.

Onion
Onion is rich in calories, protein, carbohydrates, sugar, and fiber.

Imagine those nutrients and benefits in just one dish! OMG! Cheap in price but Rich in nutrients!

The reason why this particular dish is famous in our place is because we do have varieties of vegetables planted in our garden and we will just pick it right at the back or infront of our house! Vegetables that are sold in our market is also cheap so that's why we love to cook this recipe. So can you imagine if only you have the will to plant vegetables in the vacant lots in your house, you can have lesser expenses for your viand! You may also recycle cans and puy soil then plant something! There are really lots of ways! What are you waiting for? Start planting now and have delicious and nutritious meal later!
