Let's go CAMPING!! our Sipalay getaway

Hii Steemians!

Yesterday, we decided to do a spontaneous camping trip to Sipalay! I have been already to Sipalay a few months ago, and I was excited to go back! Silalay is a small town on Negros island, around 6 a 7 hours South of Bacolod city it will cost around 500 peso by bus (back and fort). We stayed in Bayawan, South of Sipalay and it would take us around 2 hours by motorbike to arrive in Sipalay. We could borrow the motorbike of the uncle of my travelbuddie aka @bellatravelph. The drive took us around 2 hours from Bayawan before we arrived by our first destination. The road is good except 2 short pieces. Because of the rain of last weeks it was muddy over there and a little bit hard to drive since I am not such an experienced driver, but we survived!

When we arrived in Sipalay, we went first to Perth resort (entrance 80 peso) . Since we were thirsty after the drive in the heat, we ordered first a milkshake and sit down for a while. After that we went to their pool. A beautiful infinity swimming pool on the mountain with a view over the sea (entrance 100 peso) , and some small islands in the sea. It was so beautiful! I highly recommend you to go there if you visit Sipalay!
The water of the sea is crystal clear and it is possible to rent a kayak (200 peso) . Since we didn't have that much time, we decided not to do this but I would love to go back and explore the area a little bit more bacause it is so beautiful! I have never been in palawan but it looks just like the pictures i have seen of Palawan! The green, crystal clear water with the hills in the sea. In real it looks lots better than on this picture. I regret it now already that we didn't kayak there cause we could not even see half the area from this point and I heard the hidden coves are absolutely gorgeous! I should go back there soon..

After that, we went to Sugar Beach. To go to Sugar Beach, you have to ride a small boat. We asked the price and the young boy told it was up to us what we gave. We paid 50 peso. The way back we took an other boat, he asked just 30 peso for us both! We paid 100 peso to put our tent on the beach next to the small sari-sari store of Karen, a beautiful young woman who takes are for the place. We had a nice chat with her and her English is good! If you go there alone, she is a nice person to talk with if you want some company!

After we put our tent up, we were just relaxing, watching the sunset while listening the sound of the waves. And of course, that's lots better with a cold beer! I couldn't let it to make a jumpshot picture..!

Before, we expected a white beach with a beautiful blue, crystal clear sea, but last week there was a typhoon. Karen, the girl who took care for the sari-sari store told us that the water was not so clear because of the typhoon and it made the beach looked dirty. She also told us that the sand is whiter in the summer. I think that is true since I remember the other beach where we went on my previous Sipalay trip was lots whiter amd the water was clear and blue. I thibk that is true since I remember the other beach where we went on my previous Sipalay trip was lots whiter and the water was clear and blue. I would love it it to go back some day in the summer to check it out by myself!

The brown sand beach. Not white as suger but brown as cane suger to check it out by myself! . Not white as suger but brown as cane suger.

But it is still a good beach to hang out! I definitely don't regret this trip!

The next morning we drove back to Bayawan. The drive itself was already beautiful! Stunning beach views, mountainous areas and rice fields everywhere! We couldn't let it to stop a few times for picures.

This bridge is a piece of art! The architecture is definitely picture perfect!

Standing on a van to look at a gorgeous beach view. The grey color of the beach makes it for me even more beautiful!

Hopefully, you enjoyed it to read about camping in Sipalay, and I hope especially that this post inspired people to give Sipalay a try! The place is so laid back and still not so developed. The vibe is so peaceful and relaxing!

Thank you too Bella! I feel so blessed that we had the opportunity to travel together and I hope we can do more trips together in the future!

@xsasj that for sure. :) Looking forward to it.

Such a beautiful place! One day I'll visit there as well ;) Your photos make me want to take a plane now! :) I just started my own travel profile @ryanne here, and I just posted about my trip to Southern Thailand, I think you'd like it since it the same tropical vibe ;) I'll follow you, see where you go next. Good luck and see you around ;)

Hii @ryanne!
Thank you for your comment! I checked your page and I am following your now! You are from Belgium! Dutch or French part? Do you have more trips planned to write about?

Regards,
Sha

Hi @xsasj :)
Bali.
Ben jij nu fulltime aan het reizen?

Hee haha,

Altijd leuk om Nederlnders tegen te komen!
Bali is super mooi!

Yay. This post made me look forward to visiting sipalay next year. Hubby and I already booked a room and are both excited to spend our anniversary there..

I am sure you will enjoy there! You will also stay on Suger beach?

i booked two night stay at Natural Native Sea View Cottage..it's a house on top of a hill.. i'll definitely share it here too soon. I also blog about my travels. i am based in cebu. currently, i have posted blogs about cebu city attractions

Sounds like a good place to stay with a good view! Don't forget to go to Perth resort!
I will check out your blog, I am going back to Cebu soon since my travel buddie Bellatravelph and my brother are living there! Thank you in advance for the information about Cebu! I will check your page and follow you :)

Yey.. are you in negros right.now? I am.actually from bohol but my husband and I are now based in Cebu City. Have you been to bohol too?

Yes I am still in Negros and I will travel soon to boracay! I have been in bohol, but just in Anda, Anda is beautiful! In a month i will meet my brother in Cebu and than we are going back to bohol, to some waterfalls and the Chocolate hills :)
You left Bohol to work in Cebu?

Yay.. my town is just next to Anda.. i left bohol for school few years back then i started working as well.

I wish I was in the beach.
Sun bathing and sand everywhere.
Regards!

The beach is so nice! I miss the beach already...
