Sheikh Ibn Masyisy Abdussalam bin Masyisy bin Malik ibn Ali bin Harmalah ibn Salam bin Mizwar bin Haidarah bin Muhammad bin Idris al-Akbar bin Abdullah al-Kamil ibn al-Hasan al-Mutsanna bin al-Hasan as-Sabth bin Ali ibn Abi Thalib husband Fatimah az-Zahra daughter of Rasulullah saw. Shaykh Ibn Masyisy was born in 559 H coinciding with 1198 AD
Intellectual Life of Ibn Masyisy.
Ibn Masyish learned to read, write and memorize the Koran in Kuttab (a place used to teach little children to read, write and memorize the Qur'an) and he has memorized the Qur'an since he was less than 12 years later went to study. Ibn Masyish worked on agricultural land like other villagers and did not depend on others to manage his life affairs. He married his uncle's daughter (his uncle was named Yunus), from whom he married four sons: Muhammad, Ahmad, Ali, Abdus Shamad and one girl: Fatimah.
Shaykh Ibn Masyisy qualified in the field of science also has a high kezuhudan, Allah swt unites in him two kemulian, world and religion, and maintain the virtue of faith that haqiqi. And Ibn Masyish get success on the will of his will and ideals, a man who never deviates from the path of a shari'ah hair, hold fast to Religion and convey his virtues

Among his teachers in the field of science is Shaykh Ahmad who is called (aqtharaan), buried in the Abraj area near the door of Tazah. Among his teachers in the field of tasawwuf (at-tarbiyah wa al-suluuk) Shaykh Abdurrahman bin Hasan al-'Aththar famous with az-Ziyyaat, from Ibn Masyisy learn about mua'amalah science with society whose source morals in accordance with morality Rasulullah saw, so from the science of Ibn Masyisy get more.
