What is the meaning of Nietzsche's Antichrist?

in philosophy •  7 years ago

Anti-Christ, opposite of Christ. I believe this term fits many who claim to be followers of Christ today. I know I have been driven from the organized religion of Christianity because of the actions of many in the churches. They all seem to be pushing the notion of "Do as I say, not as I do." And yes, this includes our current administration and members of the GOP. But this isn't about them specifically, but rather the religion that is being promoted.

I know others who feel as I do that the organized religion using the name of Christ has little or nothing to do with his actual teachings. So definitely, I believe we are seeing the Anti-Christ today but haven't quite yet gotten to the final one mentioned in the bible, unless you subscribe to the idea that this Anti-Christ is not a person but rather an idea.
