Buy a Yacht or 100 Motorcycles - What would you do - What has more overall value?steemCreated with Sketch.

  • I've owned and sailed on many nice boats and the reason I'm always welcomed on other vessels is my ability to just go...

Owning a boat is expensive to purchase and maintain even if it doesn't move. Finding people to just take off with you is harder than pulling teeth... oh everyone says they want to go...But time and money constraints prevail.

Every once in a while you can gather a group of friends and get away for a day or 2, but it's rare. So the cost per day ratio for these trips are incredible.
If you want to go sailing often better to put it out to charter and take people on vacation packages to help offset the costs. They are usually nice people but can be demanding as they are now paying customers.
  • So assuming this boat cost $140,000.00 to purchase, And a little 250cc off-road bike is $1,400.00 you could buy 100 of them for the same price.

What to do with 100 bikes?
Find 99 friends to go riding with you :-)
Ok that's a bit extreme but I wanted to compare price to value right.
So lets break it down to 10%
10 bikes for $14,000.00
Finding 10 people to go riding with is easy and probably more fun that trying to keep track of 99 others LOL
Around my house we could go off-roading for days on end, not use the same road twice and be home at the end of the day. stop at stores or Pubs at will. ( I Will ). Or 1-2 people could quit early or go in thier own direction. So way more versatil than a boat you can only swim away from hehe.
  • I think I would rather the Bikes for the reason I could share them more freely with my friends than a boat.

And my Philosophy in life is...What good is anything unless you can share it with your Friends & Family?
I rarely ever went sailing alone, And Offroad exploring is not so much fun by yourself either. In fact, anything I can think of, I want people to share it with ( Except shitting, that's a solo endeavor ) some would disagree, but to each their own :-).

  • In fact, A bike similar to the picture above is the reason I'm married now. I ended up taking a friend on my bike to visit his girlfriend for Easter weekend. Her sister said " Oh Moto.. Vroom vroom.. "

My Spanish was little and her English none...But I understood and took her for a ride that lasted months traveling all over Panama. By the end of that tour, We were inseperable.
She and I know just about every nook and crany from coast to coast plus part of Costa Rica. Johana is a great talker and we made friends everywhere we went.
Some Super nice friends we met on the Pacific coast ( Hippy surfer types ) turned me on to Jack Johnson, Seems fitting to me to share this with you, my friend...

  • Jack Johnson is a little-known artist except in surfing circles, All his music is on the net. I suggest you check it out :-)

I met this couple at a Rainbow gathering, And we camped in their yard for some time. Every morning started with Jack Johnson cranked up while we woke up and started the day. Usually, them hitting the surf at dawn and I watering their plants while drinking coffee till they returned around noon.

But I'm looking for another now, Because Panamanian's put life ahead of money and have time to live, Just like me :-)
I was also going to get philosophical about steem power and how it gets shared or hoarded here but grow weary, And time to cuddle with Johana for a while, before more yard work later in the afternoon.
But you probably already know what I was going to say if you read this far :-)
In closing, sending All My Love...
