The AI Paradox: The Internet Of Things Is Turning Humans Into Digital Serfs

in philosophy •  7 years ago  (edited)

The Earth Custodians blog has already stipulated a few times that, unless people begin to stand up, transhumanism will reveal itself as an electronic prison by 2025 or so. Well it already is much that way but in 8 years or so from now there won't be any way back anymore.

Just assume that you have been (wrongly or not) accused of something, that somebody willing to search your smart phone, grabs and holds it in front of your face to unlock the device set to start with the facial recognition of its owner. Or just imagine that the self-driving car will ask to scan the chip in your hand to start the engine... or record all trips' destinations and  discussions. In the late 90's, everybody was raving about how much smart electronic devices and appliances would revolutionize life but it won't be the case. Even bank ATMs will prefer at some point facial recognition over the 4 digit security code. That's how our civilization has always operated since the beginning of the ages, by selling dreams that cannot come true.

The Internet of things is spying on you 24/7, just plain simple -- and it is getting worse by the day. Here are a few leads, should you wish to start your own investigation:

The Internet of things is the  inter-networking of physical devices, vehicles, buildings, and other  items embedded with electronics, software, sensors, actuators, and  network connectivity which enable these objects to collect and exchange  data.More at Wikipedia

Internet-connected gadgets are turning us into 'digital serfs' with no control over our personal information, experts warn

The problem with 'internet of things' devices is that we don't really  control them. And it's not always clear who does. In Joshua A.T.  Fairfield's recent book, he discussed what it means that our environment  is seeded with more sensors than ever before.  Our fish tanks, smart televisions,  internet-enabled home thermostats, Fitbits and smartphones constantly  gather information about us and our environment. That information is valuable not just for us but for people who want to sell us things.  Security and privacy breaches are built in....

EARTH CUSTODIAN COMMENT: social isolation caused by 6hrs a day of smart phone use. This immersion into the vastness of Matrix has a heavy price tag. The Matrix gives the impression that everything is readily available but also can give a feeling of being lost in a maze.

Discussing the effect of smart phone technology on people... the more one uses it the more unhappy one becomes

Derrick Broze, Lead Investigative Reporter for ActivistPost.com:  With the advent of autonomous vehicles we must seriously think about the  implications of bringing the interconnected Internet of Things into our  lives on the road. The vehicles sensors will constantly be sucking up  data and feeding it into the navigation system. The wide variety of data  (weather, traffic, speed, location, time, date) could potentially  reveal private details to the manufacturer, law enforcement, or hacker.’ The Self-Driving Vehicle Future Will Be The End Of Privacy

The smart grid is an interlocking web that will monitor and control all  of the electrical appliances in your home at all times. Based on  wireless technology, the privacy ramifications, health effects, and  opportunities for outright government control inherent in the smart grid  agenda are staggering. Tonight we talk to Josh Del Sol, the filmmaker  behind the forthcoming feature documentary "Take Back Your Power," about  this agenda and what you can do to stop it.

One cannot resolve the issues with the mindset that created them. Yes, it  is possible to see way ahead of the curve, and if  it  takes one generation for a  money-free  society to take shape,  that shouldn't prevent anyone  from  taking  action, and using money  strictly for online advertising until a critical mass (20%  of  population) is reached.   The metaphysics of  the Earth   Custodians   Movement is The Spiritual Science Of Vibration

The thing that scares me the most is not the "government" spying on me. I'm scared of what will happen if some hacker was to use all that information against me. And with the tech companies trying to outdo each other in new technology, we are receiving more and more poorly secured devices on the market. I may be pesimistic but we might be headed in to our own demise.

yeah and that too and it already is happening... but the bottom line still is "smart technology" . Since all the devices are designed to interact with one another more and more, hacking and spying become a lot more easy

I just added a video which will be worth your time. Feel free to resteem if you like it... this info must be spread far and wide.

Oh, backing off on your claim? Just a few weeks ago, the robots were taking over in 5-7 years...

Did you have to adjust all your hard data a bit? Or will it always be 7 years out? lolz

You are all being sucked into the internet of things! Says the person who posts 10 long assed ramblings a day...heheh
