Zeno's paradoxes - Achilles and the tortoise

in philosophy •  7 years ago

Hello STEEMIANS !!

Zeno of Elea is an ancient greek philosopher, was setting one day by himself and thinking 'how to make the world more complex than what it is ? '

and he came up with Achilles and the tortoise paradoxe.

Assuming that we have a human in point '0' and we have a tortoise in point 'A', and of course the human want to catch the turtle (for what ? i dont know ) .

He will get to the point 'A' in order to catch it, but he will not find it there because she already get to the point 'B', he will try to catch it one more time, to do that he must pass to the point 'B' but he will not find it there !! because she already gone from the point 'B' and passed to the point 'C' ...... and so on to the infinity and beyond !!!!!!!

So no matter how hard he tries he will not catch it.
