So are you assuming I don't exist? If not, what evidence do you base your assumption of my existence on? Either you base it on your conscious experience of my comments, or there is no conscious experience happening within you, in which case you are merely an automaton. You have no conscious experience. There is nothing it is like to be you.

Science calls consciousness the hard problem for a reason. The consensus seems to be that consciousness does indeed exist. The evidence is in everything you sense. If you say that everything you sense is an illusion, to whom is it an illusion?

It seems you haven't thought this through very well. Dismissing it as intellectual nonsense indicates that you are attached to your views, and not open to the idea that you could be wrong.

You made the assertion. Not me. Go back and follow the conversation. it has derailed beyond imagination.

So, what you said was that there is no evidence of consciousness. Does it follow then that you don't believe consciousness exists?
