Today's philosophy- What happens when we die?

in philosophy •  7 years ago

I have picked this generalised question to open up some bigger debates. As you may know by now, my interest is in life after death philosophies and enjoy conversations and debates about the subject matter.

However, I am not great with the scientific terminologies, which is why I am seeking some discussion.

Here are 10 thoughts to consider. These perspectives are not necessarily my beliefs, but are merely conduits for a discussion piece.

  1. We are all objects in one universal energy
  2. When we die, we become someone, or something else depending on our behaviour from the previous life
  3. Our souls live on so we become 'ghosts' that can be seen, heard and sensed in certain environments
  4. One higher spirit is responsible for what happens in this and the afterlife
  5. Heaven and Earth exists in different levels for different souls
  6. When we die there is nothing left of what we were
  7. When we die, we go to another world
  8. We create our realities
  9. We are pawns in a game of life
  10. We relive the same life over and over

I hope we can create a great discussion on this piece!
