DEFINITIONS: Free Will, Influence, and the Human Condition, aka: Philosophy

in philosophy •  7 years ago

Before we dig into philosophy, we’re going to need some shared definitions.

Definitions.jpg

Free will: This one’s important. It is the ability to move energy into a configuration it would not otherwise move into, or you could also say it is the ability to make a choice that is contrary to influence.

Energy: When I say energy, I mean that which is matter or forces derived from matter.

Influence: Simply anything that would make one choice easier than another, which includes any natural inclinations of energy.

Beliefs: Those perceptions that one identifies as true.

The Human Condition: A configuration of energy that allows for perception.

Perception: The ability to experience a stimulus.

I will use this post as a reference post and will refer back to it a lot in future posts. As always, if anyone's got any arguments for or against these definitions, I'd love to hear them.
