ALAKH .....
Sitting at the shore of river Beas, on the steps, I was basking into the subtleness flowing just below - into the horizon, on both the ends. What broke my tranquil, was a tap on my right shoulder and before I could comprehend a supposedly mid 30's man sat to my left and with a broad smile, acquainted himself as - Alakh.

Looking into the vastness, just at our threshold he said, "This life is like a river commencing from a horizon we do not completely understand. It than runs its course as long as our span of gaze (our lifetime) can see. Sometimes it inundates you with water - sorrow or success, excess than you can handle on the contrary it dries out on you sometimes. It than again concludes into a junction as imaginary as a horizon beyond which lie Jesus' heaven or hell , 'Narak' or 'Swarag' incepted by Brahama or a Prophets' 'Jannat' and 'Jahanoom'. One can also talk of Moksha or Nirvana - liberation from cycle of birth and death. So many religions, so many anecdotes and epics and yet so many things unraveled - nothing in concrete about the life beyond this horizon. But I guess that is the point of something being a horizon, beyond which you cannot see or rather perceive".
