THE MANIFESTO I WROTE AT 23!

In raging response to the Communist Manifesto, I wrote THE RATIONALIST MANIFESTO when I was 23. I recently dug it up and read the whole thing, pausing to comment on how much - and how little - has changed in the 31 years since I wrote it. It's fascinating to see the seeds of my later theory of ethics - 'Universally Preferable Behavior' - buried in the feverish politics writings of my youthful self...
