Daily illustrated wisdom: Even the heroes need help sometimes

Even the heroes need help sometimes.

I met a spider-man in the park. A true superhero. He was happily running around, jumping over the steps, saving the world, and just doing his casual things.

"Such a powerful superhero would never need any help," one would think. But I must disagree.

You see, after spiderman was finished saving the world, he had to go to his grandma in order to get his shoe laces tied. This poor hero could not do it on his own. I cannot blame him, though... it is one heck of a job.

You can be as perfect as you want, but there will always be something you cannot do. The fastest swimmer in the world might be afraid of heights, and the strongest man in the world might need help to stay calm.

That is exactly when we have to seek for a help. From my personal experience, I can say that people are really happy to help when you are open to it. And there is no shame in that. We are all full of flaws.

It might be easier for spiderman to save the world than tie his shoe laces. However, his grandma knows well how to tie those laces. That is how we trade our help and live in a fancy world, full of happiness. Ain't that perfect?

Everyone who thinks that it is a sign of weakness to ask for a help... they might be right on some level. The only thing that those people don't think about is that every single creature on this planet is weak. And that is super normal. That is why showing your weakness might actually evolve into your strength. Others are often too afraid to do it.

A real problem occurs if the thing which you need help at is asking for a help. I have no advice how to cut this loop, except maybe reminding yourself that even the heroes need help.

So tie your shoe laces and go on to a journey, looking for a help and providing it to the ones in need.
