Is it wrong to support cryptocurrency for practical benefit rather than for political reasons

Practical benefit or political purpose?

This is a question to the Steemit community about "public perception" and ethics. In your opinion is it more important to be a politically pure supporter of cryptocurrency or is it equally ethical to be a supporter of cryptocurrency for practical utility without any regard to political connotations?

Public opinion is the shaper of morality and this is a survey of public opinion on the question of "motivation of the user" and "what is important".

For me, it's really both. There's no real "either/or" here... the political angle is that I am "voting with my dollars" (so to speak) which is also a functional and practical choice.

It's like being against Monsanto and their GMO farming... that may be a political statement, but I still need food, so I am "voting with my dollars" by buying my veggies from local organic producers at my farmers market... which is a very practical thing.

Good question and topic, though!

I'm pragmatic so I value practical utility, but I understand that political views can rev up motivation! So in my opinion, to answer your title question, it is not wrong to support cryptocurrency for practical benefit.

The absolute majority will use it for practical benefit, there's no way to convince the masses that the political investment is something worth the hassle.

Well, everyone needs to do what is best for himself. If that leads to bad behavior we need to change the system.

We can't yell at folks for following incentives that is how this world works.
