No More Sim Card !

  • The new smartphone models will no longer have SIM cards. The technology that replaces them

    • The new phones will no longer have a SIM card slot.
As soon as the headphone jack starts to disappear, SIM card slots will soon become history.

    • To save space and money, phone makers could soon be using iSIM, that is, an integrated SIM card in the phone chip along with the processor.

    • The company that already produces these iSIMs is ARM. New iSIMs will be integrated into the chip, so there is no need for space for a separate slot.

  • This way, the phone's battery can be bigger. In addition, these integrated SIMs are much cheaper than the classic ones, according to the Android Authority.

  • It remains to be seen if the producers will be really excited about this idea. According to ARM, the benefits are obvious, and the project could become reality in a year or two.

wow, how if the phone is gone? can be save the number of sim?

This great post I appreciate your technology..

Humm, interesting technology
So we dont have to buy sim cards again. Cool

before you buy a phone like this, having a constant cip that cannot be changed you will be easily tracked as now you have to throw a phone, not just a sim card :))

Wow keren

Interesting article.

Will the 'supplier' / store program the number etc when I buy a phone?
Which would be interesting, because if the store can program the phone, so could smart 'kids' .....seems like a step towards 'control' of the appliance is in reality a step away from 'control'. or am I misunderstanding?
