So Motorola is shall we see one of the more prolific smartphone manufacturers certainly in 2020 I've completely lost kind of how many new phones they've pushed out it must be in triple figures by now but you can always rely on them to put out a good old-fashioned stock android budget smartphone that offers strong value for money and the latest is the moto g9 plus this hits the UK hot on the heels of the moto g9 player which I already reviewed a couple of weeks ago or maybe it was a couple of months ago, to be honest time has kind of lost all meaning for me in this covered reality but this morphe is slightly more expensive than the g9 plate at 259 quid here in blindly but it offers a specs upgrade across the board as well so enough chitter-chatter let's unbox the Motorola moto g9 plus and go on a full-on tour of the hardware and the software so you know what to expect if you're tempted by one of these bad boys.

And yeah this thing is constructed from plastic like most budget smartphones but it does weigh a hefty 232 grams so yeah certainly gonna be feeling this one when it's stashed in my shorts and it is as you can see they're a glossy finish as well so a mirror effect and as you can hopefully make out there as well it's already getting covered in greasy prints and I've only been handling it for about 30 seconds so that boards well still gotta say I do like that navy blue finish that's rather fetching I believe that's the only color option here in the UK but you can also pick up the moto g9 plus in blush gold if you want something a little bit different a lot of these plastic modular smartphones do tend to scratch up quite easily normally within just a week. So you've got a few little like nicks appearance on that back end so you might want to keep the prophylactic case slapped on there just to give it that extra bit of protection however as with a lot of its budget-friendly smartphones cell phone repair parts has at least added a nice bit of splash protection to the moto g9 plus so you know don't go drop it in the jacuzzi or anything like that but if it gets you to know splashed with a bit of beer uh you know out in the rain something like that it'd be absolutely fine and the resurrection of edge-mounted fingerprint sensors still Gordon strong looks like most budget smartphones in 2020 have had them which is great to see, uh you've once again got one here on the moto g9 plus as well.

So let's get this morphe all set up and take a tour of the rest of it to get ready for the psychedelic intro love it and when you're sticking your sim card in this bad boy as well it's worth noting that it does have a dual sim setup but that second sim slot is also shared by the micro sd memory card if you want to stick one of those in instead to expand the 128 gigs of on-board storage up to a further 256. okay we are all set up and ready for action and it will come as absolutely no surprise whatsoever uh to any more drawer fans out there then, of course, it is a stock version of android slatted on here android 10 should hopefully be getting an upgrade to android 11 soonish.
