Have you ever seen a more beautiful folk costumes?
The most beautiful can be found in Czech Republic. For you who doesn't know where it is it's a small country in the middle of Europe.
For its diversity, they are closely linked not only to a specific area,
but often directly to certain village. Experts in that area can recognize at first sight
the village of its origin. More and more people in this country realize how unique and important heritage was passed to them by the previous generations, folk costumes remain as a lasting value of the cultural wealth of the nation.
People used to travel just a little, so they didn't copy designs of others and thus they created a peculiarity patterns typical for each region. Therefore, richer regions have more splendid motives unlike those from poorer areas.
Nowadays, Costumes are not usually worn in this country but the dresses are still used for festivals and important occasions, such as Easter, wedding, etc.
How do you like it?
I would say "The beauty is in the eye of the beholder". It means that beauty is subjective. But those dresses look nice. :)
