Four giant African snails (Achatina fulica) live in aquarium at my home.
However, do you know where these snails come from? I already know and if you have free 55 seconds you will know too, because I'm going to show you the short video (not aesthetic, but very natural), which give you the answer on this question: D

Great video! Snails are very interesting and busy though slow. I watch them often in the woods.
Snails on your photos are a bit like those that live with us. But their shell is stretched out and ours is round.
I had never seen a snail lay eggs. It's interesting, thanks for that!

Also these snails are big enough. For compare I used the apple with diameter about 100 mm. Their activity is significantly more at the night and as you rightly noted they are very interesting and busy. Thanks a lot for your lovely reply, dissemination of your experience and attention to my blog :D

I am very glad that this video was interesting to you! It was first time when I watched the laying eggs too. About hatching let me tell you that the snails don't hatch from the eggs like birds or crocodiles. The process is closer to the transformation, when eggshell is gradually becoming to the shell with creation of the small opening for the snail body.
Thanks a lot for your kind reply! I very appreciate your opinion!
