The warning "Smoking kills" on cigar packs definitely discourages non-smokers, but smokers themselves from consuming tobacco, but not enough.
However, scientists say they have found a new way to make cigarettes even worse for those who smoke, but also for those who risk becoming potential smokers.
Instead of writing alerts on the pack itself, the idea is to write such alerts on each cigarette individually.
Scientists at Stirling University, led by Dr Crawford Moody, have come to the conclusion that smokers felt more fear when it was reported on every cigarette that smoking was killing. Non-smokers and those who smoke occasionally reacted even worse, thus quitting tobacco consumption.
The study participants stated that the message on the cigarette caused more fear in them because they would look at it all the time as the cigarette burned or stood in the ashtray, and therefore, the thought of quitting smoking was imposed with every puff of smoke.
Such warnings on every cigarette caused depression and intimidation, and each time acted alarmingly mainly on a group of women smokers, who stated that afterwards the cigarette no longer represented their enjoyment - say the authors of the study.
For a cigar you need the following:
Tobacco
Rizla
filter
A cigar-rolling machine
First place the tobacco and filter in the cigar-rolling machine. They then roll a rolling machine to make a cigar shape and compress the tobacco. Insert rizla and roll, so that the tobacco will sink into the rizla. Then remove the ready-to-use cigar.
STORAGE OF CIGARS
- Cigars are a natural organic product and should be stored as food or wine. They are most favored by humid environments where they are not too warm. The ideal humidity is about 65% -70% and the optimum temperature is between 18 and 22. In addition, it is best to store them in Spanish cedar boxes. Such conditions will prevent the cigars from drying out and will aid the ripening process. For storage of cigars, special boxes of humidors are designed, which are made of Spanish cedar and have a humidification system with a hygrometer. Humidors are an indispensable piece of furniture for every real consumer.
STRUCTURE OF HAND-CELARED CIGARS
Even at the end of the 20th century when the world was flooded with mass-produced goods, making cigars was still a laborious manual job. Tobacco grows in many climatic regions, but some areas are particularly suitable for growing certain species. The production of the best cigars depends on the type and quality of the soil, the weather conditions, the fermentation method and finally the skill of the master.
Chemically, tobacco is divided into two groups. The largest group is tobacco that contains sugar and produces an acid reaction during smoking. This type of tobacco is used in the manufacture of cigarettes. Cigar tobacco is alkaline or basic in nature and causes a neutral reaction when smoking. It is air-dried and fermented in two stages. This way of fermenting makes the tobacco get rid of excess liquid and ammonia, which makes the tar, nicotine and acid levels much lower in cigars than in cigarettes. After fermentation, the ripening process begins, which can take up to two years, and the care of tobacco during ripening is what determines the quality of the cigar.
A handmade cigar consists of three parts: an outer wrap, an inner wrap and a central part. All these three parts must be tailored to taste, age and aroma. The delicate nature of the outer sheath requires special care to maintain the beauty of the silk leaf and its distinctive noise. The role
the inner sheath is to maintain the firmness of the cigar. It also has a significant effect on the aroma and the way the cigar burns. The leaves of tobacco that make up the center section are arranged in a lengthwise glue. This creates a series of tiny passages in the cigar through which smoke and air can pass. This is why handmade cigars smoke better than machine-made ones. This section consists of three types of leaves and their ratio in the cigar is the key to its taste. After a complicated manufacturing process, cigars go through rigorous controls and are sorted by color. Then, rings are put on them and packaged in traditional Spanish cedar boxes.
CIGARES PREPARATION AND LIGHTING
When you are about to light a cigar, the first thing to do is cut the top. This is an extremely important part of the smoking ritual. The cut should be clean and the cap cut off is about 2 mm thick. The cutter you will use is a matter of personal taste. The most popular are guillotines, small gadgets with one or two sharp knives, special scissors, a V knife and a drill. Cigars are lit with a lighter or a match. When burning, it is imperative to avoid gasoline lighters that leave a strong odor.
You first heat the cigar by holding it close to the flame and turning it until a gray ash ring is formed. When the cigar is warm, start pulling while still turning the cigar. Do not draw smoke into your lungs, just keep it in your mouth, feel the aroma and exhale gently. If your cigar goes off, just shake off the ash and light the cigar again. A lit cigar again will have a slightly sharper taste. The ash from the cigar should not be shaken or extinguished, it will quench itself.
