Hey Steemians,
This picture was taken in Hualien, Taiwan as I was traveling towards my next tourist destination.
I wanted to share this photo because it reminded me of an important message; sometimes the journey may be even more valuable than the destination.
While traveling, I often find myself only focusing on reaching a destination, and ignoring the journey in between each one. However, this time I reminded myself to enjoy the journey and I'm glad I did.
Similar in life, you may think you will be happy once you achieve a certain accomplishment or reach a certain goal, but if you don't find a way to enjoy the journey there, you will be unhappy for a long time.
Any long term goal will require many hours of hard work and contain many challenges, and if you don't find a way to enjoy those hours of grinding, you may give up before even reaching your destination.
As Earning Hemingway says,
"It is good to have an end to journey toward; but it is the journey that matters, in the end."
What journey are you currently on?
