Digital Orca

in photofeed •  6 years ago  (edited)

So what does everyone make of the BTC spike last night? Start of something or just a failed pump?

This shot is of the "Digital Orca" that dominates the foreground in front of the Burrard Inlet in Vancouver. It is a 2009 sculpture by Douglas Coupland it is often referred to as Lego Orca or Pixel Whale and is made out of steel armature with aluminum cladding of black and white cubes.

As all things digital continue to infuses into more aspects of our lives it seem to take on more relevance with time. Vancouver, British Colombia, Canada

Looks like they needed to up the res a bit on that one? XD So it's actually called Digital Orca? I kind of like Pixel Whale :) and it looks pretty cool.

Got no opinion of the btc spike or anything else because I only ever know these things are happening as other people talk about them :)

Yes it is called Digital Orca. It is back in 2009 ; so I guess resolutions have come a long way.

Would look better coming out of the water :D

For sure. Need an partially submersed platform to hold it up.

@intrepidphotos 😱 Bro, I just visited your website... I must say... I love your weather photography... 👌 love it 😍

Thanks. I just broke it out into its own category as it was previously hidden in with the other stuff. What did you think of the website layout in general?

It cool 👌 like it, its was nice overview of the categories 👌

Thanks. Hard to know if I should cut the number of photos down and just have a more select representation. But I personally like having lots of photos up there as it brings back lots of memory for me.

Nice segue, BTC to Orca!
(time for an Orca coin??)
Thanks
