Mungo Sunset

in photofeed •  7 years ago  (edited)

The sand seems to flow around these eroded monuments like the fabric of time itself. Colloquially called the Walls of China the Lake Mungo lunette is located in South Western New South Wales, and is part of the Willandra Lakes Region World Heritage Area. The landscape at the site is extremely fragile and hold numerous archeologically significant artefacts and so public access is now limited to those accompanied by a parks ranger or approved guide. NSW, Australia

The shot was taken with a Canon EOS 6D, Canon EF 16-35mm f/2.8L II, ISO 100, 16.0 mm, f/9, 1/320s.

it works very well with exceptional shooting settings as usual.
the framing and composition is great. I liked the color tones and the atmosphere.

Looks like a typical Aussie lake, more sand than water, lol.

Nice comp with the sand and the clouds! :)

Thanks mate. If you ever get to oz its surreal out at Mungo. But a long way form anywhere.

super warm. Crazy sky. Did you do a timelapse?

No. Tim elapse would have been cool. But I am too much of a still photographer to get them normally as I like to change composition. Clouds moving super quick as you can tell with this shot being 1/320 sec.

The image with the long clouds and then wind-swept sand is very cool. It gives the observer two slightly different lines to follow toward the center of the photo.
Keep up the great work!
