Utah's Large Red Canyons

Lots of rock with a spot of green here and there, and commanding views in every direction. I am just a humble lonely observer seeing how the sky has washed away the land over eons of time.

Whoa.. That's quite a view! Very impressive looking. Also some very poetic words there.. "The sky has washed away the land" never quite heard it in those words before, but yeah.. The sky does wash away the land through erosion from the storms. Cool shot! Also I think I see your tripod or someone's tripod down at the bottom right.

Yes Paul I was hoping that people would understand how erosion did this. You don't see a river in the canyon. As to the tripod shadow it was unavoidable which sometimes happens. Thanks!

Hi @irvinesimages,the earth looks arid , and I see a small green here, maybe this little tree will cling to life and take what it needs from the same land to prevail
Blessings

Hi Martha, Yes this place is very dry. We see life in some of the harshest places, these plants are well adapted and change is very slow. Thanks and good day!

Your photo is very beautiful and the canyon is beautifully pictured.

Thanks for checking it out!

That's nice to hear and I hope I can keep it up. Thank you!

Beautiful landscape and a very colorful scenery . The hot looks amazingly sharp and of high quality also

Thanks for noticing the quality. I put a lot of effort into it.

Wow that's a magnificent shot of the canyon - looks like a canyon to me anyway. Looks like you can see for quite a distance in that spot. I like the lone bit of greenery as well. Neat!

Yeah it's a really big canyon, the road helps give some size perspective but also the view was quite impressive and worth the long drive in there. Thank you!

That is a massive canyon. The word expansive comes to mind. Great shot! Well done.
