Astrophotography in Mount Cook National Park

in photofeed •  7 years ago  (edited)

I spent the past three nights in Mount Cook National Park at a YHA. This was definitely the highlight of my time in New Zealand so far (which is saying a lot). The sky was spotless for the majority of our time there - perfect for some astrophotography. We really couldn't have asked for better weather!

I envy you! I visited Mt. Cook in 2014, but I didn't know how to capture milky way at that time. Hope to visit again if possible :)

I hope you can!

Amazing shots of the Milky Way! I've been to a number of places where I've seen a sky full of stars at night, but still have never gotten to see the Milky Way. Might just have to head to New Zealand
